EXCELLENT TECHNOLOGY
LDM® by Wellcomet® is an advanced technology specifically developed to treat a variety of aesthetic and dermatological conditions. This technology is based on dual-frequency sound waves and can dynamically adjust production and destruction in connective tissue, which is of prime importance in aesthetic applications or dermatological diseases. After extensive research, Wellcomet® can integrate in this technology a sound wave with a frequency of 10 MHz, which is usually only used in diagnostic applications. More than 800 in-vitro tests (some have been published) provide basic knowledge about LDM® which has subsequently been tested in various clinical applications.
What does LDM represent?
LDM® is a dual frequency audio technology that links different frequencies up to 10 MHz in one LDM® wave, thus alternating between two frequencies up to 500 times per second. There are two wave combinations in the LDM®-MED machine - sound waves with frequencies of 1 and 3 MHz as well as waves with frequencies of 3 and 10 MHz.
Such waves create a series of special pressure geometry that affects the cells as well as the extracellular structures of the connective tissue.
What does LDM® have on skin and connective tissue?
Different frequencies and their combinations used in LDM® technology can specifically regulate the connective tissue structure. They may directly affect the activity of the enzyme matrix (MMPs) responsible for tissue degradation as well as the formation of heat shock proteins (HSPs), which is needed for exact protein observation. They can also differentiate the amount of hyaluronic acid (HA) in the skin, thus altering the internal structure of the tissue.
LDM® is capable of affecting the formation of heat-shock proteins (HSPs).
All of these molecular components (MMPs, HSPs and HA) are of prime importance in the modern dermatology and dermatology industry and their appropriate adjustment is indispensable in dermatological and aesthetic treatments.
The stimulation of collagen production through fibroblasts indicates the best results if supported by the simultaneous inhibition of MMPs that can reduce new collagen. The HSP molecular account is dedicated to precisely aligning proteins - a process that dramatically reduces skin aging. The production of HA is very important for skin regeneration; cutting it is the cause of skin aging. The specific adjustment of all these ingredients can lead to a dramatic improvement in the appearance of skin manifestations and less signs of skin aging.
Dysfunction in the rate of motility of collagen production and degradation is often considered the basis of skin aging and various dermatological diseases, such as acne, eczema and chronic ulcers. Through the use of LDM® technology, specific changes of such rates during the exchange of connective tissue can be adjusted separately.
The pressure distribution and penetration depth of different sound waves
The wave of this frequency adds a very small wavelength of 150 μm and can directly affect the protozoa or small cell groups in the tissue. This characteristic is responsible for some very specific reactions of different cells to the 10 MHz sound waves.
What does LDM® have on connective tissue and adipose tissue?
An important application of LDM®-MED is the introduction of systemic therapies (eg, reduction of the perimeter). Especially for this purpose, Wellcomet® has designed a constructive body concept called TWL (Thixotropy - Washout - Lipolysis). Consequently, many theoretical foundations have been collected and many experiments have been conducted. The first step of TWL is to convert limited water with LDM® into free water molecules in some areas such as the hips, thighs or abdomen. After this important step, water can be rinsed with supportive applications to activate lipid-producing cells for lipid metabolism. This happens in the third step through special fat excitation stimulation as well as diet and exercise.
Because LDM® can produce a dramatic loosening of the connective tissue beneath the epithelium, it is also very interesting in applications such as front and back treatments in aesthetics and cosmetic surgery (eg. like liposuction or facelift) as well as in combination with fillers and injectables.

USER MANUALS - TREATMENT REGIMENS
Improvement of the skin appearance can be often seen directly after the first session. Depending on the age of the client and their skin care methods, there are different procedures that are usually used:
Cosmetic treatments are recommended for treatment twice a week in 4-6 weeks.
Maintenance therapy should be performed every 2-3 months.
In aesthetic surgery support, can be applied 1-2 times before surgery.
In cosmetic surgery support, it can be applied 2-3 times after surgery.
Dermatological applications may need 6-8 and in complex cases 10-16 sessions, depending on disease picture.

Instructions for adjusting the machine
Select a program with the entry control knob and confirm your selection by pressing the entry button.
All treatment parameters are displayed. The intensity is preset in all treatment programs. Treatment is initiated as soon as the sonotrode is placed on the surface to be treated (with ultrasound gel) and the ring on the ultrasound probe illuminates.
To cancel treatment, press the entry button. The treatment is automatically terminated after the treatment time has elapsed.
Treatment Techniques
| Dynamic Circling Treatment Technique (DCTT) |
This technique will be usually applied by large-scale aesthetic applications, e.g. by treatment of cheeks or cellulite.
By this technique the sonotrodes will be slowly (3-5 mm/s) and uniformly moved in circles through the whole treatment area in the main direction of the lymph flow. At least 5-7 full passes have to be completed during selected treatment time. To reach this number of passes for too large treatment area the treatment time has to be eventually increased.
| Dynamic Vector Treatment Technique (DVTT) |
This technique will be normally used by aesthetic face treatments.
By this technique the sonotrodes will be very slowly (1-3 mm/s) and uniformly moved in lines (vectors) in the main direction of the lymph flow. The whole treatment area has to be treated with at least 5-7 passes. The treatment area has to be restricted to accomplish the needed number of passes during the preset treatment time.
| Semi-static Treatment Technique (SSTT) |
This technique will be normally used by treatment of emphasized problem areas, e.g. by treatment of nasolabial folds or by acne treatment.
By this technique the sonotrodes will be 5 to 10 seconds stopped on one place.

Does LDM®-MED treatment cause skin damage?
LDM®-MED is a non-invasive, high-tech machine. Therefore, treatment with LDM®-MED will not cause any damage to the skin. Safety levels have been certified by the US FDA.
How long does LDM®-MED treatment of facial wrinkle reducing require?
